Quality Care for Children launches data presentation site

October 2010 - Georgia-based Quality Care for Children launched its data presentation web site featuring great graphic design by BAD Studio and programming and database management work from Yellahoose.



Quality Care for Children (QCC) is a nonprofit organization with a 30-year history of ensuring Georgia’s infants and young children are nurtured and educated.

The web site displays state-wide and county-specific information on cost, subsidy acceptance, financial assistance, special needs experience, types of child care available, GA Pre-K and national accreditation in Georgia. The data set is actively maintained by QCC.

Freshwater Biodiversity portal added to KnowledgeBase

September 2010 - KnowledgeBase, the online resource for documents and data for the Gulf of Maine watershed, added a significant new portal feature related to freshwater biodiversity in September. Yellahoose developed the site's collections pages with Peter Vaux, at the University of Maine, and a new dynamic species mapper was added to the web site.



Mapping development was done using Google Maps API version 3.0. Yellahoose used the MySQL RDBMS and PHP and Python programming. KnowledgeBase and features used by it and its linked sites are hosted on CentOS and Debian, two versions of Linux.

Scorebuilders launches new web and ecommerce site

September 2010 - Scorebuilders, the Scarborough-based provider of physical therapy training and license examination preparation tools and software, launched its new web and ecommerce site in September. LuDesign Studios and SlickFish Studios did the great graphic design work. And Yellahoose was brought in to rearchitect data management, programming and end-user experience for Scorebuilders' online ordering.



Work included programming in PHP and ASP, working with and integrating orders and users for online courses in Microsoft SQL Server, web server (IIS) and Windows Server administration - not to mention needs assessment and planning development of and getting Scorebuilders' feedback on the online purchase experience.

Goodwill Industries of Northern New England - AmeriCorps site moves and is updated

August 2010 - Goodwill Industries of Northern New England's AmeriCorps web site was updated in August, and the web, database and file server was moved to a new host. Yellahoose worked with the hosting provider's data center to make the transitions, and Yellahoose implemented new work flow and graphic design changes to the GINNE AmeriCorps site with AmerCorps Program Director, Joely Ross' input and assistance.



More changes are scheduled for September.

BAD Studio launches Illuminations Contact e-commerce site

June 2010 - Illuminations Contract, of Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama, re-launched its web site and launched its wholly new e-commerce solution, designed and project managed by BADSTUDIO of Atlanta with assistance from Yellahoose of Portland, Maine.



Yellahoose took the great graphic design concepts produced by BADSTUDIO and implemented them in Pinnacle Cart, a hosted PHP shopping cart and online store solutions. As part of these major web site updates Illuminations' own public web site was moved to Pinnacle's data center too, ensuring 24/7/365 web site availability.



Illuminations' e-commerce site features a full catalog, B2B solutions, details, invoicing, online payment processing through Authorize.net, and drop ship functionality.

State of the Environment Report is published

June 2010 - Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment launched their State of the Environment Report this month. Yellahoose provided web design, support and IT management services.



The report represents a cumulative effort by Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) Canada, New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES), Environmental Protections Agency (EPA) and Gulf of Maine Councilors from different agencies and stakeholder organizations in the U.S. and Canada. The site is built to evolve over the coming years, with new papers and reports added as they become available.

Maine Coastal Program launches online version of Maine Coastline newsletter

May 2010 - The Maine Coastal Program launched the new edition of its Maine Coastline newsletter. This edition marks the first step in a phased approach to move the Coastal Program's newsletter to the web. This edition's theme is on the significant aesthetic qualities of the Maine coast.



Plans are being made to evaluate and implement other web features in upcoming editions and updates, including social media and outreach tools, like Twitter, Facebook, places for user input and photo galleries... and more. Stay tuned!



Content for this new online edition of Maine Coastline was developed by Nancy Griffin at Word Association. Graphic design was provided by Gordon Holman of Slickfish Studios. Theresa Torrent-Ellis, Kathleen Leyden and others at Maine State Planning office provided great feedback on the new edition. (Thanks!) Creative Portland Corp launches LiveWorkPortland built by LEDA, LuDesign, Slickfish Studios and Yellahoose

May 2010 - Creative Portland Corporation launched LiveWorkPortland, a web resource showcasing Portland, Maine's vibrant creative professional community.



LiveWorkPortland presents Portland residents and those thinking about relocating to the area a picture of the city, and of the region, as a great place to live and work and do business. The site showcases great creative professionals calling Portland "home", with biographical sketches and multimedia slideshows. It hilights the city's culture, economy and other amenities adding to Portland's quality of life.



The web site was designed and built and content was developed by a team of professionals from the area: LEDA, LuDesign, Slickfish Studios, Wing and Ko. and Yellahoose. Yellahoose's role:

• We configured the web, database and email servers, helped move DNS and update zone records, set up back up routines, and basically set up the site shell.
• We installed and configured WordPress, the software Creative Portland identified as its preferred CMS.
• Design requirements were tricky! No canned template would do, so we built one specifically for the site.
• As content developers and web designers, Wing and Ko. and Slickfish Studios, built out the design and content, we supported them by debugging issues, resolving (or helping to resolve) them, and we provided a second set of eyes as things went online.
• Meanwhile, we integrated the site with Constant Contact, using their developer API, and we search engine optimized and set up analytics tools (Google Analytics and AWstats) for the site.
• We launched LiveWorkPortland.org from its staging location to its "live" site, moved the launched version to source control (we use Subversion), and prepared for the future by creating a project management site (in Trac) for the team.

UMRLAC water quality monitoring program site gets Yellahoose-powered update

April 2010 - The website for the Upper Merrimack River Local Advisory Committee's river water quality monitoring site got some modest but value-added and really neat updates this month, thanks to program and sampling managers and Yellahoose.



First step was databasing existing monitoring location and E. coli sampling data. Yellahoose built a simple relational database in MySQL on the UMRLAC server and populated it with data provided by UMMP Sampling Supervisor Steve Landry.



Building an entirely new user interface was out-of-scope and budget for this round of revisions, but updating the existing UI to make use of the database, and to add great new features, like enhanced mapping and interactive charting using Google APIs, was an easy set of tasks for Yellahoose.



Finally, Yellahoose developed more user-friendly tools to the UI using Dojo -- and, last but not least, reCAPTCHA was added to newsletter and listserv sign-up forms.

KnowledgeBase gets face lift

March 2010 - KnowledgeBase, an online repository of bibliographic records and data related to the environment in Maine and northern New England, got a face lift this month.

Yellahoose planned and managed the graphic design redo. Project partner Gordon Holman of SlickFish Studios produced the new art work. After review by Dr. Peter Vaux and team at the Mitchell Center for Environmental and Watershed Research, and some minor tweaks, Yellahoose implemented the new skin on the existing website.



The new graphic design is meant to be flexible -- more easily accommodating new data portals, themes features being working on now for implementation later this year. (Stay tuned for these!)

Yellahoose chosen to build data visualization tools for Upper Merrimack River Local Advisory Committee

March 2010 - The Upper Merrimack River Local Advisory Committee (UMRLAC) has chosen Yellahoose to build database management, web mapping and data visualization tools for its volunteer river monitoring program.

Since 1995 UMRLAC's Upper Merrimack Monitoring Program (UMMP) has monitored bacteria (E.coli), insects and other indicators in eleven sampling sites throughout the Merrimack River watershed, including on the Pemigewasset, Winnipesaukee, Contoocook and Merrimack Rivers, to gauge and track long-term trends in water quality in the watershed. Volunteers collecting site data are trained by NH Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) and Merrimack River Watershed Council (MWRC).

These new data, mapping and visualization tools will be launched on the www.MerrimackRiver.org in spring 2010.

February 2010 - February was a busy one for Yellahoose and its current and new customers!

Crossroads for Women began billing from its new clinical tracking software, implemented in 2009, with Yellahoose's help customizing claims and tweaking claim data for the Agency's specific needs. Remote computer management solutions were also rolled-out in the Agency's Kennebunk, Windham, Portland (Back Cove and Old Port) locations.

The Gulf of Maine Times published monthly updates to the online newspaper. These include news about Nova Scotia's recently published state of the coast report as well as a study on climate change and its measured affect on Casco Bay.

Ecosystem Indicator Partnership published its March/April 2010 journal.

Gulf of Maine Council's Habitat restoration program (in partnership with NOAA and Maine State Planning Office) made significant updates to and launched its online grant application tool on March 1.

PDT Architects, the Portland, Maine-based community-focused architecture and design firm, relocated its web presence to Yellahoose partner Packawhallop's servers... with Yellahoose help managing the technical aspects of the uneventful relocation.

Yellahoose helped Atlanta, Georgia-based King & Moore and HolzCreative move, make necessary programming and database updates and relaunch the Shannondell at Valley Forge website.

And Boston, Massachusetts-based Kevin Cradock Woodworking moved its website, including database and CMS systems, with Yellahoose's expert analysis and assistance.

Northeast Aquatic Nuisance Species Panel launches Yellahoose-built online guide

February 2010 - The Northeast Aquatic Nuisance Species (NEANS) Panel has launched its online invasive species guide. Built by Yellahoose, NEANS' guide allows website users to search for species, view imagery and effects, and create online and PDF-based guides to download or share online with others.



The NEANS Panel is a U.S./Canadian focuses issues and research on freshwater and marine resources in member jurisdictions, including: Maine, Massachusetts, New Hamnpshire, Vermont, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick Quebec. Panel members represent state, provincial, and federal governments, academia, commercial and recreational fishing interests, recreational boaters, commercial shipping, power and water utilities, environmental organizations, aquaculture, nursery and aquarium trades; tribal concerns; lake associations, and the bait industry.



The guide, built by Yellahoose with project partners Waterview Consulting and Slickfish Studios, features search, content management, on-the-fly PDF creation, and a number of innovative features. Twenty priority species were initially defined for launch of the product, with additional species and more information for species in the system to be added by the NEANS Panel's members on an on-going basis.

Yellahoose develops online print order form for Portland Photo Works

January 2010 - Elliott Teel of Portland Photo Works came to Jim Cradock of Yellahoose to inquire about adding an easy-to-use print order form and photo upload tool for the the Portland Photo Works' web site. Portland Photo Works has a high quality Epson 7900 Ultrachrome HDR printer, and Elliott wanted to receive orders (currently they're delivered on physical media) via the web site.



After defining the specifications and reviewing the capabilities of the Portland Photo Works web server, Yellahoose built the print order tool using HTML, JavaScript, PHP and Flash. Photographers can upload 180 ppi or better RAW, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, PSD and PDF files to the site using any contemporary, Flash- and JavaScript-enabled web browser.

Winter 2009-2010 Gulf of Maine Times is launched

December 2009 - The winter 2009-2010 Gulf of Maine Times was launched using a re-vamped information architecture and user interactivity focus developed and implemented by Yellahoose.



The new Times uses blog software for content management, comments and RSS feeds. The software's an excellent choice for the Times, because content is easily manageable by editors, writers and web masters. Tools for tracking how the site and content are used were also made part of the upgrade.



The new issue of the Times is thematically focused on ocean issues (wild-life, sustainable development, science and research) in the Gulf of Maine region: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Olympus Asset Management leverage Yellahoose-built solution and add blog-driven press release, news and case studies to web site

December 2009 - Southern Maine-based Olympus Asset Management added a big new feature to its web site: easy-to-update news, press release and case studies, and RSS feeds for content syndication. It was able to add the new features, because the site, built by Yellahoose earlier in the year, was specifically architected for growth and feature and function additions.



How quickly was the new feature added? Olympus made a request for the feature the morning of December 14. After finalizing the specific requirements (lots of news and more to come, shouldn't need to come to techies to update, needs to be integrated within the existing site), Yellahoose implemented the feature the morning of December 14. Staff were trained in use of the blog-driven CMS tools after lunch.



The Olympus web site was built using and it is hosted with open source software, and an early but stable version of Blueprint content management system (a.k.a. CMS), developed under its Packawhallop brand. Graphic design was developed by Slickfish Studios working with Olympus and Yellahoose.

Boston Harbor islands science and information site is launched

December 2009 - The National Park Services launched its site sharing science and information for the Boston Harbor islands. The site was developed with NPS by the Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Environmental and Watershed Research at the University of Maine, Yellahoose and graphic design partner Slickfish Studios.



The Boston Harbor islands site makes use of search and geo-spatial visualization for making data on islands in the Harbor easily accessible. Because a lot of the information is geared more towards scientists than lay persons, NPS, the Mitchell Center, Slickfish and Yellahoose worked hard to make a great user interface and work flow.



Database and visualizations tools are part of a larger initiative by the Mitchell Center to build upon existing technologies to create a series of inter-related web portals focused on environmental research, sustainable development and water quality in the Gulf of Maine and the northeast U.S.

November 2008 - Porter Drywall launched its new web site highlighting its diverse work throughout the state of Maine. The site was designed by SlickFish Studios, It uses a content management system (CMS) to make it easy to add projects, photos, slideshow images (for Adobe Flash slideshows).

The CMS was built by Yellahoose based on Porter's specific requirements to promote its drywall contracting business by region and by type of project. The CMS uses PHP, MySQL, Apache, XML and JavaScript.

October 2008 - Yellahoose has been retained by the Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Environmental and Watershed Research at the University of Maine in Orono, Maine to develop the interactive web site for the National Park Service's Boston Harbor Islands National Park.

The web site will include a relational database system (RDBMS), search, web services and data visualization tools (GIS, graphing) to allow users to retrieve information and data on natural resource stewardship activities in the Park. In addition to custom design and development, the web site will utilize existing technologies and data already made available through the Mitchell Center and its partners.

Children's Museum of Maine chooses Packawhallop for web site and email hosting

October 2008 - The Children's Museum of Maine picked Packawhallop as the new host for its web site and email hosting. Packawhallop is a Portland, Maine-based software products and hosting company created by Gordon Holman of SlickFish Studios and Jim Cradock of Yellahoose.

The most significant issues to address for the Museum were the incredibly high number of spam email messages staff were receiving and to provide a stable and reliable web hosting platform. Packawhallop moved the site to a server at A2 Hosting, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and SpamAssassin filter was applied to all email sent to the Museum.

Value-added tools, like Google Analytics and better housing of content in a simple, powerful database management system, are planned for the Museum's web site as well.

The Salt Institute moves and relaunches its web site

September 2008 - The Salt Institute for Documentary Studies relaunced its web site. The site, designed, architected and built by SlickFish Studios and Yellahoose, uses a sophisticated template system allowing for easy update of Salt's substantial radio, writing and photography content.



Salt's new site makes use of XHTML and CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and Flash to make for a rich and easy to use web experience. It provides a great platform for Salt's content.

This major update is the first in a series of phased updates to Salt's online presence. Future updates will outreach tools for Salt students, alums and supporters, as well as secure login and content management for the online gallery and student and faculty work spaces using software built by Packawhallop.

Hurricane Kyle data tracked by GoMOOS

September 2008 - Northern New England and the Canadian Maritimes don't often get to experience the weather associated with a tropical storm or hurricane, but on September 28 Hurrican Kyle made its way through the Gulf of Maine and headed towards the Bay of Fundy. The Gulf of Maine Ocean Observing System (GoMOOS) has buoys in the Gulf of Maine, and it publishes real-time conditions from its buoys and from complimentary NOAA buoys on its web site.

Eclipse Media Group relaunches web site

September 2008 - Eclipse Media Group relaunched their online presence with a dynamic, database-driven web site designed and architected by SlickFish Studios and Yellahoose.



The Group's new site sports a content management system (CMS), Flash presentations and document upload tool, a relational database management system (RDBMS) storing all client content, and Google Analytics tracking how the site's being used. Using the site and the software implemented, Chelsie Woods, Andrea Gural, Regina Celeste and Joanne Friederick are able to easily add and update press releases, client results and client speaker availability in real-time... while looking at the public pages – and without needing to visit a separate "admin" site.

Additionally the site is hosted by Packawhallop LLC, a joint business venture of Gordon Holman of SlickFish and Jim Cradock of Yellahoose.

Yellahoose retained by Crossroads for Women for clinical system upgrade

June 2008 - Yellahoose has been retained by Crossroads for Women to assist with the migration of its clinical assessment system to software developed by Anasazi Software of Phoenix, Arizona. As part of this migration Yellahoose will be working with the Crossroads' executive team to assess the agency's IT needs and direction.

The migration to Anasazi's hosted ASP solution marks a significant change for Crossroads. The agency uses a FileMaker Pro-based systems developed and maintained by in-house and contract developers, including Yellahoose, to track clinical information. But it's been clear to the agency it's outgrown FileMaker Pro's capabilities.

An internal review of their own needs for tracking clinical data, and after querying other local and national organizations providing behavioral healthcare services, led the agency to Anasazi Software. Yellahoose provided a second opinion on Anasazi's proposal to Crossroads, taking into consideration the bigger IT picture at the agency, and documenting risks to the agency when migrating to Anasazi's software.

Yellahoose will work with Anasazi's implementation staff to migrate data Crossroads identifies as critical to the agency, and it will be available to Crossroads and to Anasazi during a number of key meetings as part of Anasazi's well developed, and practiced, implementation plan.

The upgrade is planned for September 2008.

Gulf of Maine Council to upgrade IT infrastructure and web presence with Yellahoose help

June 2008 - Yellahoose made a needs assessments and submitted recommendations for upgrading the Gulf of Maine Council's IT infrastructure and web presence. Once the recommendations were agreed upon Yellahoose worked with the Gulf of Maine Association to negotiate contracts for leased server space with the identified hosting provider, DataPipe of New York, California, Shanghai and London.

The upgraded infrastructure will mean the Council will be able to continue serving its data to members, researchers, decisions makers and anyone interested in the Gulf of Maine marine environment. The Council will be able to maintain its innovative, online applications. And the upgraded hardware and software will provide the Council with additional tools and software for other great products.

IEA Energy launch HR portal built by SlickFish Studios and Yellahoose

April 2008 - IEA Energy launched a major new addition to the Intranet presence, an HR portal, using software designed and built by SlickFish Studios and Yellahoose.



The software is specifically built to make it easy for any organization's non-technical users to add and update online documents, files, links and messages. End-users simply login, see what's recently been added to the portal, and download or view the content.

If users do not immediately see the document they're expecting, an integrated search can help them easily locate it... or browse through all the organization's documentation and information resources added to the portal.



The software was developed using PHP and PostgreSQL, but it is not tied to any specific database back-end. IEA Energy's HR portal was launched using MySQL as the database back-end. An MS SQL Server and a SQLite version are both planned.

Additionally, because some human resources services are managed for IEA by Acadia Benefits, the HR portal was integrated with Acadia's good online tools and documents.

April 2008 - When they were planning the upgrade for their Clients & Profits database, Complete Partners and Atlanta, Georgia-based Ames Scullin Advertising contacted Yellahoose to help. Following the steps C&P had documented when migrating was one thing, understanding the full capabilities of the target host database platform, MySQL, was another.

Jim Cradock, Yellahoose's principal, helped successfully migrate the data to the robust MySQL server, he documented the processes he took to move the data (including documenting gotchas about which even C&P were unaware), and he implemented backup processing for disaster recovery.

The first week after the migration, Ames Scullin are using their upgraded Clients & Profits software with MySQL as the back-end database.

Gulf of Maine Council issues winter '08 Gulf of Maine Times, publishes salt marsh ecology booklet, and launches project progress report tool

March 2008 - March was a busy month for product and information updates from the Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment! And Yellahoose provided critical IS and consulting services.

The Spring / Winter 2008 edition of the Gulf of Maine Times was released. This edition includes new web features for Times readers, including tools to share articles with others, and on the back-end a new (to the Times!) template system to improve workflow and reduce the effort and cost it takes to release the online paper. JavaScript, CSS and PHP were all used in this edition.

The Council also published Salt Marshes in the Gulf of Maine, a 42 page booklet on salt marsh monitoring and restoration in the Gulf. The publication was edited by Peter Taylor of Waterview Consulting.

Yellahoose developed a number of easy-to-use, web-based applications for the Council to track users interested in Salt Marshes in the Gulf of Maine, including capturing key demographic and professional information, and Yellahoose developed tools for users to request hard-copy versions of the booklet.

Data are managed in PostgreSQL, and the web application was written using PHP and JavaScript.

Habitat restoration grants were awarded also, and part of this year's grant monitoring process is the implementation of an online tool for awardees to use to document progress. Yellahoose developed the tool, with Jon Kachmar of the Maine Coastal Program and Peter Taylor of Waterview Consulting, using technologies, tools, methodologies and best practices already developed for and in use by the Council.

And we don't have nice screenshots for work did for the Christine Tilburg in the Council's Ecosystem Indicator Partnership (ESIP) and Christian Krahforst in the Gulfwatch Contaminants Monitoring committees, but that doesn't mean the services provided weren't fundamentally enabling — or, to be honest, terribly time intensive:

Yellahoose implemented PostgreSQL databases for Christine and Christian to use to manage and massage ESIP and contaminants data. The databases are password-protected. Christine and Christian can import data, tweak tables, and they can even link data to other data the Council already has at its disposal. They the good, cross-platform software, DbVisualizer, to manage their databases.

Central Maine Orthopedic upgrades website with Yellahoose-built content management solution

Nordic Heritage Sport Club upgrades website with advanced information management tools

Febuary 2008 - The Nordic Heritage Sport Club upgraded their website in February with database design and development, website programming (including implementation of webservices), and hosting by Yellahoose. The site was designed by SlickFish Studios.



The Club promotes outdoor recreation and economic vitality in Aroostook County by providing first-class facilities and programs to residents, athletes and visitors.

The new website includes an easy-to-user content management system (CMS) the Club can use to add and update news, event, calendar and cross-country ski trail condition information, photography and documents.

The upgrade required moving the site to a more capable and robust web hosting environment and design and development of a relational database management system (RDBMS).

• The graphic design and user interface was developed in Flash, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. 


• The RDBMS was developed in MySQL. 


• The website was programmed in PHP. 


• Webservices were implemented in RSS.


• Web and database hosting was moved to a Linux server.


• Coordination of work and management of source files between designers and developers was managed using Trac and Subversion.


• Google Analytics was added so that the Club could track how the website was being used and to optimize it accordingly.

January 2008 - Yellahoose upgraded Olympus Asset Management's web and database server infrastructure to meet Olympus' increased work load. The servers were build and delivered by Helpful.com, a PC hardware support business based in Saco, Maine, and Yellahoose setup the operating system and migrated data from the old web and database servers.

The new servers provide Olympus with even higher processing power for their PostreSQL database and greater storage space for client and internal company documents. The servers run Debian Linux.

January 2008 - Yellahoose added what'll be a growing collection of How Tos, geared towards web developers, web designers, programmers and system administrators.

Is it dumb to share this kind of knowledge?

Geez. Perhaps. But if a system administrator is having trouble firewalling Ubuntu Linux, it seems better to us that he or she is able to do that and move on to contributing positively to the Internet environment.

Harvard Business School Venture Capital and Private Equity Club re-launch website

January 2008 - The Harvard Business School Venture Capital and Private Equity Club re-launched their website in preparation for the Club's 14th annual conference on February 2. Yellahoose developed an easy-to-use registration process for conference attendees last year. For this year's conference Yellahoose updated the registration process per the Club's requirements and assisted with finer technical aspects of the website's relaunch.



The Club's registration uses PHP and MySQL to process registrations and PayPal for payment processing. Included in this revision was a simple export of registrant information for manipulation or merge in MS Excel, Word or Access.

January 2008 - The Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment launched an innovative, easy-to-use document sharing solution. The software, developed by Yellahoose with design assistance from SlickFish Studios, is web-based, and it allows Council staff to securely distribute electronic documents without requiring users install or learn additional (and often confusing) Internet software (FTP, P2P, etc).

January 2008 - Yellahoose developed a drag-and-drop solution allowing Crossroads for Women, a provider of substance abuse and mental health treatment services in Maine, to manage health care provider data in the company's in-house database management system. The solution uses Mac OS X technologies (Perl and AppleScript) and FileMaker Pro to provide an easy-to-use system for Crossroads' staff.

Upper Merrimack River Advisory Committee publishes management plan

December 2007 - The Upper Merrimack River Advisory Committee published its Management Plan, and Yellahoose was there to help by putting the content online on the Committee's web site.



The Committee represents the communities of Boscawen, Bow, Canterbury, Concord, Franklin, and Northfield in a variety of studies and planning activities. It serves as the area's advisory board on its designation in the NH Rivers Management and Protection Program and conducts a variety of projects and programs in the upper Merrimack watershed.

Google-powered search was also added to make information on the site more accessible.

December 2007 - Yellahoose literally gave it up for this December's First Friday Art Walk: Principal Jim Cradock gave Yellahoose's office space in The Congress Building over to his wife and photographer, Elizabeth Cradock. Beth is also participating in the art fair on December 8th from 11-6.

November 2007 - SlickFish Studios and Yellahoose built and launched a new web site for IEA Energy, an engineering firm for the energy market, with offices in Portland, Maine and Fort Mill, South Carolina.



The new web site, built using cutting edge HTML and CSS and Flash, uses a secure and easy-to-use content management system (CMS) developed specifically for IEA by Yellahoose and SlickFish. The CMS uses IEA's existing infrastructure (users in Active Directory) to authenticate and permit access to web content managers, identified by group assignment.
